Wow, some have had us on a wild goose chase with this JobKeeper 2.0 thing... We decided to watch them all do their thing in explaining nothing until it was actually revealed, so here it is plain, simple and directly from the ATO.
Reproduced here are the keypoints to the JobKeeper extention.

Just keep doing what you were doing by jumping on the MyGov page. If already registered to receive JobKeeper via Step 1 and Step 2, go to report Step 3 as usual, but from here on, there is a Step 4 where you actually report last years comparison. That function was not working properly for the September 2020 reporting but working for October 2020 reporting. This new feature also allows you to enter the employee Tier details for hour worked.
For new employees; only those employed before 1 July 20, need to be provided with a Notification and the number of hours employed reported to get the correct amount.
It's all very simple and user friendly. If you need help with the nitty gritty of what to do in Payroll from a QuickBooks perspective, get in touch and we will happily guide you through it.
